Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies to meet contractual, quality, and schedule requirements
• Diagnose boards and units down to the component level on failing products and recommend corrective actions
• Execute preventative maintenance and calibration plans for test equipment
• Maintain accurate test records and provide yield and failure reports
• Assist engineering teams with ongoing investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Set up and utilize various types of lab equipment and complex instrumentation for manual production testing and debugging

Requirements

• Minimum of an HNC in electronics or equivalent relevant experience
• Proven ability to tune circuitry to achieve performance specifications
• Strong understanding of electronics, including theoretical and practical knowledge of circuitry
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and communicate circuit functionality effectively
• Proficiency in interpreting test specifications to carry out manual production tests
• Ability to work to production schedules while maintaining high product quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of principles and controls required when working with RF circuitry
• Experience with testing and diagnostics of complex electronics products at the component level
• Significant experience and knowledge of various Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
