Test Technician III

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrate, upgrade, and repair new production and customer-owned Doble test equipment
• Provide high-level technical telephone support and remote troubleshooting for global customers
• Use analog and digital troubleshooting techniques to repair equipment at the board or sub-assembly level
• Record all test data and failure information accurately in production systems
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for specific Doble product lines
• Train and mentor junior test technicians
• Make recommendations to improve quality and production test methods

Requirements

• High School diploma or Associates Degree in Electronics/Electrical or an Electronic Technician Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Customer Service Technician II or equivalent
• Proven experience with system-level troubleshooting and repair of power industry test equipment
• Proficiency using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVM, and frequency counters
• Strong communication skills for interacting with domestic and international clients
• Ability to lift 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with power industry high voltage test equipment
• Familiarity with nuclear industry calibration requirements
• Experience with Navision ERP software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
