Responsibilities

• Execute hardware and system tests in the Pittsburgh lab, validating sensor behavior, firmware functionality, and end-to-end data flow
• Own pre-deployment validation for outbound MHEV hardware kits and software releases
• Debug across hardware, firmware, and software layers to isolate issues
• Qualify new on-vehicle compute platforms and assess performance against reference implementations
• Identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements to the regression suite
• Contribute to defect triage and communicate findings to engineering teams

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in hardware test, lab, or technician roles (robotics, drones, automotive, or industrial automation)
• Experience at the hardware-software boundary
• Proficiency with embedded device testing, including flashing firmware and functional validation
• Hands-on lab skills including wiring, crimping, schematic reading, and multimeter use
• Proficiency with Linux command line and basic networking (SSH, ping, IP configuration)
• Associate’s degree in a technical field, technical trade certification, or equivalent hands-on experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or ARM-based boards
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, or Ethernet
• Familiarity with ROS or robotics middleware
• Experience with computer vision and perception pipelines
• Ability to run test scripts in Python
