Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Utilize test procedures and written instructions to build test set-ups and conduct tests on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Select appropriate Measurement & Test Equipment to collect data and evaluate component operability.
• Document test data on applicable data sheets and record/report any failures or anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and QA teams to resolve quality issues and develop test procedures.
• Construct test circuits for both Alternating and Direct Current (AC/DC) applications.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Solid understanding of electricity, including the use of power supplies and multimeters (voltmeters, ammeters, ohm meters).
• Ability to apply knowledge to test electrical control equipment and calculate resistive loads.
• Understanding of electro-mechanical components and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Training equivalent to an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 to 4 years of related electrical testing experience.
• Experience developing wiring diagrams and layout sketches for test setups.
