Test Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work independently on projects of diverse or complex scope
• Set up and execute tests across development, qualification, and acceptance campaigns
• Own test assets including Data acquisition systems (DAQ) and test stands
• Assist engineering with instrumentation, DAQ support, and design for test (DFT)
• Perform root cause investigations to drive engineering issues to closure
• Collaborate with engineers to update test documentation and improve processes
• Author and update scripts using Python, LabVIEW, or Twincat to run tests and analyze results

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test setups or technician support roles
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
• Ability to perform trade studies and make recommendations using first principles
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Availability to work required shift hours, overtime, and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with instrumentation and DAQ systems (load cells, pressure transducers, thermocouples)
• Experience maintaining calibrations of instrumentation devices
• Light fabrication skills including welding, machining, sheet metal, drilling, mill, and lathe
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints
• Experience fabricating and repairing cable harnesses (soldering, crimping, assembling connectors)
• Proficiency in Python, LabVIEW, or Twincat
