Test Ops Lead

Responsibilities

• Managing and executing the design and build of fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems
• Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting test systems
• Creating sustainable engineering processes
• Managing project schedules and budgets
• Ensuring high uptime, reliability, and safe operation of test stands in hazardous environments
• Performing people management duties including mentorship, coaching, and performance reviews
• Assisting with site operations such as shipping, receiving, and administrative tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar
• 5+ years of experience with rocket test operations and on-console engineering support
• 2+ years of experience as a team lead or people manager
• Experience designing fluid systems (P&ID, line sizing, CAD modeling, hazard analysis)
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic systems integration
• Experience writing and operating test procedures and automation
• Experience with high pressure or hazardous environments
• Proficiency in real-time and post-test data analysis
• Knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical fluid components and instrumentation
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks like lifting up to 25 lbs
• Willingness to relocate to Moses Lake, WA
