Test Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain lab equipment and test fixtures, including routine calibration and maintenance.
• Perform mechanical and functional testing of direct thermal and thermal transfer printers.
• Test printer communication interfaces, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (BLE), and USB, to identify mechanical failures.
• Collect, record, and organize test data accurately to create clear summary reports.
• Identify product failures and performance issues to support root cause investigations.
• Assist with Gage R&R studies to evaluate measurement repeatability and test method consistency.
• Mentor Contract Manufacturers (CM) on testing procedures and monitor their testing content.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in engineering technology, electronics, mechanical technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in product testing, lab testing, or quality assurance.
• Basic understanding of electromechanical systems.
• Experience working with embedded systems and device communication (Wi-Fi, BLE, USB).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data collection and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures.
• Proficiency in written English.
