Test Foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule staff on projects to meet quality standards and on-time shipment requirements
• Provide technical guidance and direct corrective actions for Test Technicians on Low and Medium Voltage switchgear
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of custom-built electrical equipment
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests using IEEE and ANSI compliance standards
• Interact with customers during design verifications and product reliability demonstrations
• Train personnel in shop testing, troubleshooting, and safety protocols
• Ensure workplace safety through strict adherence to 5S, OSHA, and EPA requirements
• Verify and document electrical flow, HIPOT tests, and lockout/tagout procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience testing equipment using IEEE or ANSI Acceptance Standards
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing procedures and equipment
• Working knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear and control panels
• Familiarity with UL 891, UL 1558, and DLAH requirements
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong leadership and team development abilities
• High school Diploma or GED
