Test & Evaluation Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, and operate basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
• Calibrate, adjust, certify, and repair equipment using standards for fiber optics, photometry, and radiometry
• Conduct routine tests, analyze data, and document results according to approved procedures
• Troubleshoot and recommend resolutions for laboratory and test-related equipment problems
• Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while minimizing downtime
• Update equipment status in established systems and complete all required documentation
• Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with lab processes
• Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures

Requirements

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
• 2+ years of experience in metrology and/or calibration
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift 35 or more pounds during a shift

Preferred Qualifications

• PMEL (Air Force) or METCAL (Navy/Marine Corps) training
• Experience working specifically with fiber optics
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of direct M&TE calibration experience
