About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and document standardized test methods, procedures, and instrumentation to ensure repeatability and minimize risk
- Design test hardware, software, and systems to meet specific aerospace test requirements
- Lead the analysis, processing, and formatting of data to meet customer requirements and approve data prior to delivery
- Oversee the development of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Basis of Estimates (BoE) to support future work proposals
- Provide technical oversight and approval of engineering products, processes, and approaches
- Mentor and develop employees while contributing to enterprise-level engineering best practices and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in avionics or electronic equipment maintenance
- 5+ years of experience with electronic hardware testing, troubleshooting, and laboratory environments
- 5+ years of experience working with schematics, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures
- 5+ years of experience testing software and electronic hardware
- 3+ years of experience in project or team leadership roles
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electrical data bus interface standards such as Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, or RS-232
- Experience working with MIL-STD connectors (e.g., D38999)
- Proficiency with DOORS for requirements management
- Experience in agile/scrum team environments as a participant, Product Owner, or Scrum Master
- Experience developing hardware verification plans and test environments
