Test Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Sustain, optimize, and improve testing equipment for sputtered disks in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test cell equipment issues to maintain product quality and manufacturing throughput.
• Manage equipment transfer and buyoff for new hardware and software enhancements.
• Install and set up test equipment, including testers, robotic automation systems, bagging systems, and conveyors.
• Monitor key equipment input variables (KPIVs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PPH (Parts Per Hour).
• Conduct investigations for quality incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Perform measurement results analysis and coach process engineers and technicians on instrument methods.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in process, data monitoring, or data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Minitab.
• Basic Visual Basic programming skills and a strong understanding of statistical concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced, Higher, or Graduate degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Strong attention to detail in design and implementation to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Proactive approach to learning new technologies and seeking professional growth.
