Test Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product test strategies during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Assist with the validation and deployment of test solutions for PCBA, product, and system levels.
• Program Flying Probe and Cable Scan machines for new products.
• Develop technical work procedures and reference documentation for production test solutions.
• Provide level 2 technical support to resolve issues and support test sustaining activities.
• Support continuous improvements regarding the quality, reliability, and cost of production test solutions.

Requirements

• College degree (DEC) in Electronics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in electronic troubleshooting and debugging of complex circuitry.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Fluency in both French and English (oral and written).
• Strong PC knowledge, including Windows (Embedded/Server) and Linux operating systems.
• Basic mechanical skills for the assembly and disassembly of hardware prototypes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development or test engineering with a focus on diagnostic tests.
• Understanding of Flying Probe testing.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, or MS PowerShell.
• Knowledge of C, C++, or C# programming languages.
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence, Jira, or Git/Stash.
• Familiarity with JTAG development or 3D CAD modeling software.
