Test Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures, strategies, systems, and components for electronic engineering projects.
• Direct and coordinate technical personnel in the design of testing apparatus, equipment, software, and systems.
• Define test conditions, sequences, and phases of operations to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
• Interface with scientific and engineering personnel to resolve malfunctions, data interpretation issues, or coding errors.
• Resolve test yield problems by performing root cause evaluations and coordinating corrective action measures.
• Manage all risks associated with testing and implement preventative actions when risks become unacceptable.
• Train and instruct test technicians and operators on hardware, software, and problem-solving techniques.
• Act as a liaison to other engineering functions and provide strategic leadership for the test engineering function.

Requirements

• 9 years of engineering experience, including supervisory experience.
• Functional mastery of testing procedures and related electronic engineering processes.
• Proven expertise in strategic planning and achieving functional objectives.
• Strong risk management skills and the ability to document and mitigate testing risks.
• Experience managing large-scale initiatives and impacting long-term operational success.
