Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and execute software and firmware testing activities for complex features across releases
• Collaborate with Development and Product Management during design, Scrum, and PoC stages
• Perform hands-on manual testing to assist developers in debugging and issue isolation
• Translate product requirements into detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases
• Execute test cases at black-box, grey-box, and white-box levels
• Log, track, and verify defects using designated tracking systems
• Perform root-cause analysis and validate corrective actions with development teams
• Prepare and present test execution reports, defect metrics, and release readiness summaries

Requirements

• 7–8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and BASH command-line tools
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, routing, switching, and Wireshark
• Hands-on experience deploying and configuring VMware/vSphere virtual machines
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell
• Knowledge of SQL queries for database validation
• BE in Electronic, Telecom, or Computer Engineering, or an MCA degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, or UFT)
• Familiarity with network protocols such as DHCP, SNMP, IPMI, or Redfish
• Experience with remote management technologies like SSH, RDP, or VNC
• Exposure to SOA principles and AI tools
• Professional certifications in Cloud, Systems, or Networking
