About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute ground and flight test activities for Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) programs
- Develop comprehensive test plans, detailed test cards, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all required approvals, certifications, and safety reviews are completed
- Participate directly in test events, including travel to test ranges, laboratories, and partner sites
- Document test activities, capture test data, and support post-test analysis and reporting
- Serve as a technical interface between software developers, test conductors, system integrators, and program management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related technical field
- 4 years of professional experience (or 2.5 years with a Master's degree) supporting system, software, or hardware testing
- Experience developing and interpreting technical documentation such as test plans and procedures
- Active Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Willingness to travel for CONUS/OCONUS test activities and fly on commercial or military aircraft
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DoD flight or flight test operations
- Familiarity with USAF test and evaluation processes and safety review boards
- Knowledge of data collection systems, telemetry, instrumentation, or range operations
- Background in radar, EO/IR, SIGINT, or other sensing technologies
- Experience working with government test ranges and flying military units
