Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust lab management systems for equipment, measurement systems, maintenance, and calibration
• Design and execute complex mechanical, electrical, and thermal tests to ensure product conformance
• Use statistical methods to interpret performance data and provide formal recommendations to product teams
• Support new product design and quality assurance through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking
• Fabricate test fixtures and continuously improve the inventory of test materials and instruments
• Prepare thorough technical reports on test results using statistical and graphical software

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience with test equipment, procedures, and mechanical/electrical principles
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar)
• Working knowledge of test concepts in the design and development of products and components
• Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to design experiments that answer specific technical questions
• Excellent communication skills to explain results and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma knowledge or certification
• Electrical fabrication skills such as soldering, wiring, and building custom instruments
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Python, R, or advanced spreadsheet tools
• Experience working in a connected consumer product or food-tech company
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools for data analysis or test scaffolding
