Responsibilities

  • Integrate space and lab hardware electronics and design test beds, fixtures, and procedures for operational verification
  • Design, develop, and maintain hardware and software for Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
  • Perform bench-level debugging and troubleshooting of electronics during functional and environmental testing
  • Inform the design and optimization of operational testing procedures for production and R&D
  • Automate testing and data collection tools to ensure reliable and repeatable testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer
  • 7+ years of experience in design, integration, or test of space hardware
  • Hands-on experience with single-board computers, microcontrollers, FPGAs, GPUs, CPUs, SoCs, SDRs, or antennas
  • Proficiency in C++, C, Python, or MATLAB
  • Experience with RF lab equipment including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Vector Network Analyzers
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
  • Experience with Linux-based systems and GD&T
  • Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

  • EMI testing experience (RE 102, RS103)
  • Vibration testing and experience with GEVs
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, Serial, or CAN communication protocols
  • Recent experience developing space payload hardware and software, specifically communications systems
