About the role
Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and scenarios
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Perform regression testing and support test script reviews
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly
- Liaise with developers and product managers to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results and investigate causes of non-conforming software
- Track quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and processes
- Hands-on expertise in Selenium Suite (IDE, RC, WebDriver, Grid)
- Proficiency in Java programming and OOPs concepts
- Experience with E2E frameworks like Protractor or BDD tools like Cucumber
- Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, Exception Handling, and Parameterization
- Proficiency in designing test artifacts like Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and RTM
- Working knowledge of Python, Selenium, and Cypress
- Understanding of Agile practices and SQL
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- ISTQB certification
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
