Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts
• Ensure accurate setup of test environments, including IT hardware, software, systems, and network configurations
• Collect and analyze test data to assess performance, functionality, and compliance with requirements
• Create comprehensive test reports documenting procedures, results, anomalies, and recommendations
• Collaborate with developers and systems engineers to reproduce and diagnose discovered issues
• Support defect documentation, tracking, and retest activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with 5 years of experience (or 8 years of relevant test engineering experience)
• Experience in the coordination and execution of test events using approved plans and scripts
• Experience validating IT hardware, software, systems, and networks in lab, field, or operational environments
• Understanding of test engineering principles, test design, and defect management
• US Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering
• Relevant certifications in testing or quality, such as ISTQB or ISEB
• Experience supporting DoD, defense, or mission-critical test activities
• Experience with developmental and operational testing in lab and field environments
• Familiarity with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and automated test frameworks
