Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute test events in accordance with approved plans, procedures, and scripts
• Ensure accurate setup of test environments, including IT hardware, software, systems, and network configurations
• Verify readiness of test tools, data, and instrumentation prior to execution
• Execute test procedures and collect/analyze data to assess performance and compliance
• Create comprehensive test reports documenting procedures, results, anomalies, and recommendations
• Collaborate with developers and systems engineers to diagnose and resolve discovered issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with 5 years of experience, OR 8 years of relevant test engineering experience
• Experience coordinating and executing test events using approved plans and scripts
• Experience validating IT hardware, software, systems, and networks in lab, field, or operational environments
• Understanding of test engineering principles, test design, and defect management
• US Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering
• Relevant certifications in testing or quality (e.g., ISTQB, ISEB)
• Experience supporting DoD, defense, or mission-critical test activities
• Experience with developmental and operational testing in lab and field environments
• Proficiency with test management tools, defect tracking systems, or automated test frameworks
