Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and size BESS systems and GFL/GFM solutions according to project requirements
• Select and integrate components including batteries, BMS, inverters, and protection devices
• Prepare single-line electrical diagrams, calculation reports, and bills of materials
• Develop and document detailed testing procedures using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) assets
• Coordinate technical implementation of tests from planning through results documentation
• Ensure testing hardware and procedures comply with industry safety regulations and standards
• Analyze high-fidelity data streams from laboratory sensors to provide feedback for hardware and firmware iterations
• Execute functional tests and report data against product requirements
• Convert laboratory learnings into field-ready commissioning documents and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of experience in BESS, power electronics, or electrical installations
• Knowledge of BESS, Power Electronics, and GFL/GFM technologies
• Ability to read single-line electrical diagrams and prepare technical documentation
• Experience operating laboratory hardware such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power meters
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2/C1 level)
• Analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with grid code compliance for inverter-based resources
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, HOMER, MATLAB/Simulink, or PVSyst
• Knowledge of HIL testing, SCADA systems, and Modbus/TCP communications
• NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), or first aid certifications
