Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define comprehensive test strategies and qualification plans for optical connector products, covering electrical, optical, mechanical, and environmental performance.
• Conduct key measurements including insertion loss (IL), return loss (RL), polarization-dependent loss (PDL), extinction ratio (ER), jitter, and eye diagram analysis.
• Build and maintain automated test stations using scripting languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Use statistical tools like JMP or Power BI to analyze large datasets, identify failure trends, and produce detailed test reports for design reviews and product certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in optical component or photonic device testing.
• Proficiency with optical test instruments including optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, interferometers, beam profilers, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
• Solid understanding of fiber optic technologies (single-mode/multi-mode), connectors (LC, SC, MPO), and transceiver architectures.
• Knowledge of general telecommunication standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Hands-on experience with Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW for test automation and hardware control.
• English proficiency (CET 6 or equivalent) with strong reading and writing skills.
