Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for humanoid robots and subsystems including battery packs, actuators, linkages, and hands
• Design and automate test frameworks for continuous integration and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
• Conduct functional, regression, stress, and field testing on hardware and software components
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and AI teams to identify potential failure modes
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues found during testing to drive resolution
• Document and report defects and performance issues clearly
• Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards such as ISO 10218 and ANSI/RIA R15.06
• Support the development of test benches, simulation environments, and diagnostic tools

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience testing mechatronic or robotic systems, preferably humanoid or bipedal robots
• Strong understanding of sensor integration, actuator performance, and real-time systems
• Hands-on experience with ROS, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, or LabVIEW
• Proficiency in developing automated test scripts and test infrastructure
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in safety-critical systems testing or certifications in robotic system safety
• Experience working in agile development environments
