Test Engineer (Electrical)

General Matter enriches uranium. We are designing, building, and operating the world’s lowest-cost enrichment services, here in the US, to restore America’s ability to produce nuclear fuel for AI, advanced manufacturing, and critical industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain custom test solutions for in-house developed electronics and electro-mechanical hardware
• Select commercial-off-the-shelf hardware and/or design PCBAs to power units, measure signals, and apply operating loads
• Write automation software in Python to interact with test articles, equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems
• Work closely with design and manufacturing engineers to drive reliability and efficiency upgrades
• Root-cause test anomalies and support implementation of mitigations
• Design test campaigns to ensure hardware meets lifetime, performance, and safety requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience with electronic hardware development or software development
• 1+ years of programming experience using Python or Embedded C/C++
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience analyzing circuits and developing functional test plans
• Experience designing and troubleshooting PCBAs
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and DAQs
• Understanding of environmental testing such as HALT, vibration, shock, thermal, and EMI/EMC
