Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed system and sub-system test procedures for functional, performance, and safety tests related to Precision Farming, Product Control, and Guidance.
• Execute validation plans and test procedures on benches or through in-field testing at CNH facilities or external customer sites.
• Document and communicate test results clearly, including reporting issues into tracking tools and maintaining updates until resolution.
• Assist in root cause analysis and verification of resolutions for problems identified during testing.
• Collect and analyze operational data to assist development teams in problem resolution.
• Interface with internal customers such as engineering, marketing, and vehicle platform teams.
• Aid design teams in vehicle tuning exercises or targeted development tests for Auto Guidance and Precision Farming software features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or EET.
• 1-2 years of experience in electronic troubleshooting and diagnostics or a related field.
• Knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, Serial, Cellular, Wifi, GPS, or ISOBUS.
• Familiarity with the operation of off-highway equipment (agricultural, construction, or automotive).
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with Farm Equipment, Precision Farming systems, or connected vehicle systems.
• Experience with the development and execution of formal test plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
• Experience using Vector tools, dSPACE, or other tools for serial bus system data logging and analysis.
• Programming skills in CAPL, Python, or C++.
• Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.
