Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using advanced testing frameworks to facilitate early defect detection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and develop acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with developers to support resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to the organization's technical excellence.

Requirements

• Advanced Java-based API Testing and Automation experience using Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, and Cucumber (Gherkin).
• Solid understanding of REST standards, HTTP protocols, and JSON.
• Proven ability to design and execute BDD and data-driven automated test frameworks.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Practical AWS Cloud Quality Engineering experience validating workloads on ECS, EC2, Target Groups, ALBs, and Route configurations.
• Strong ability to perform CloudWatch log analysis, environment checks, and alert-based triage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GenAI-assisted QE productivity tools to accelerate test case generation and defect triage.
• Knowledge of API Contract testing using OpenAPI/Swagger, schema validations, or Pact.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Understanding of OWASP security principles.
• Working knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation utilities.
