About the role

About the Company

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving.

Responsibilities

  • Operate AeroVect's autonomous vehicles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • Log vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metrics
  • Supervise autonomous baggage tugs while in operation, and manually drive them to and from their storage depot
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the vehicles and their hardware systems
  • Work with the engineering team to trial and test new vehicle features
  • Interface with those interacting with the vehicle on the route
  • Lend expertise to the improvement of vehicle performance and handling of complex driving scenarios

Requirements

  • Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments
  • Valid US Class C Driver's License with 3+ years of driving experience and a clean record
  • Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Ability to pass federal background checks and maintain an airport security badge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Degree
  • Experience operating in Airside Environments
  • Experience operating autonomous vehicles or machinery
  • Experience with safety-critical infrastructure
  • Basic computer programming skills or ROS experience
  • Familiarity with the layout and cargo operations of ATL
