Test Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform pre and post silicon validation of Qualcomm IPs to ensure readiness for mass production.
• Develop and optimize production test solutions for analog and digital IPs across various sub-systems.
• Create and maintain hardware/software test systems, including programming semiconductor automatic test equipment (UltraFlex ATE).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Digital Design, Analog Design, Firmware/Software) to implement IP test and characterization plans.
• Conduct debugging of hardware, defect investigations, and issue investigations for yield improvement.
• Use standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
• Participate in pre-silicon emulation, post-silicon bring-up, and compliance testing activities.
• Collate, summarize, and present technical data for program-level reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, C, or Visual Basic.
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital semiconductor circuits.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to draw inferences from complex datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a professional test lab environment.
• Knowledge of Analog/Digital Audio, Power Management Units (PMU), and battery charger architectures.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth radio architectures.
• Experience with RTL verification, UVM/OVM, or SV assertions.
• Familiarity with software revision control tools such as Perforce, DesignSync, or Clearcase.
