Test Design Lead - Hardware Test Engineering

Responsibilities

• Champion product calibration and test strategy while balancing quality, customer experience, and operational requirements.
• Integrate with design, software, and operations teams to enable product characterization and optimal manufacturing test solutions.
• Proactively lead the convergence and maturity of product calibration and test lines through all system build phases.
• Identify potential risks and develop product protection solutions and risk assessments.
• Lead engineering builds and take ownership of factory calibration, test strategy, and bringup in interface with factory teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical, or Physics.
• 5+ years of experience integrating technologies such as sensing (motion, touch), transducers, imaging, displays, or electrical protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB).
• Strong understanding of hardware/software architecture and the interoperability of complex systems.
• Expertise with lab test equipment including high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with FMEA and FA processes, including root-cause investigations and design improvement recommendations.
• Proven technical leadership or project management experience.
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical, or Physics.
• Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across multiple challenging projects with tight schedules.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
