Test Data Management Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement comprehensive Test Data Management (TDM) strategies and frameworks for financial applications
• Design and execute TDM processes including data subsetting, masking, and synthetic data generation using IBM Optim
• Implement data masking/obfuscation techniques to comply with GDPR, CCPA, and internal privacy policies
• Manage the lifecycle of test data environments, including refresh cycles and provisioning requests
• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify critical and sensitive data elements for functional and performance testing
• Collaborate with DBAs, DevOps, and Security teams to integrate TDM into CI/CD pipelines and ensure compliance
• Optimize IBM Optim processes and automate test data provisioning workflows

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with a focus on QA, Data Management, or Software Engineering
• 6+ years of dedicated experience in Test Data Management (TDM)
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Optim and open-source TDM tools
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, or BigQuery
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl
• Experience working in highly regulated financial services environments
• Deep understanding of data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA
• Experience working with US public companies and their security processes
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line and RBAC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Informatica TDM, Alteryx, PyETL, Deequ, or Google DVT
• Experience with data virtualization tools and AI for Synthetic Data Generation
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
