Test Center Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage dual Pearson VUE test centers in Manchester and Stockport, overseeing day-to-day operations and staff.
• Act as a line manager for test center staff, handling recruitment, training, performance reviews, and absence management.
• Ensure strict adherence to Pearson VUE security protocols and compliance standards.
• Maintain site administration, documentation, and inventory levels within budget guidelines.
• Provide high-level customer service to candidates, ensuring their needs are met with respect and professionalism.
• Coordinate with regional managers, building management, vendors, and technical support to resolve operational issues.
• Manage staffing schedules and ensure correct staffing levels are maintained.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience coordinating and administering the activities of a team.
• Strong administration, reporting, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a professional testing environment.
