Test and Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement efficient testing solutions and automation projects for manufacturing systems and equipment
• Provide technical support for testers and automated cells, including troubleshooting and repair processes
• Lead the creation of test and diagnostic programs and define testing parameters to ensure product quality
• Manage the commissioning and validation of new production equipment, including documentation and GR&R
• Develop automation levels for production lines by proposing efficiency-increasing solutions
• Build and maintain partnerships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality testers and automated cells
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and the implementation of TPM processes

Requirements

• Background in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable experience of logical problem-solving within a manufacturing setting
• Intermediate level English proficiency
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support production transfer programmes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electrical test engineering
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Omron, or Beckhoff)
• Knowledge of LabVIEW software
• Project management experience
• Six Sigma certification
• German language skills
