About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and development support to new 1099 sales managers and representatives through field coaching and role-playing.
  • Drive territory prospecting activity by conducting joint field work, leading weekly call clinics, and designing territory incentives.
  • Support the development of unit managers by setting activity expectations and conducting weekly 1x1 coaching sessions.
  • Deliver virtual and face-to-face classroom instruction using company-approved content to drive engagement and skill development.
  • Manage training administration, including class setup, rosters, and participant completion tracking.
  • Act as a liaison between field sales and the Home Office, supporting recruiting initiatives and new product rollouts.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in training and development.
  • Previous management or coaching experience.
  • Proven sales experience with the ability to coach the entire sales process.
  • Ability to obtain an insurance license within 45 days of hire.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside of an office up to 75% of the time.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to train on various technology platforms.
  • Experience in adult education and development.
  • Previous experience in the voluntary benefits industry.
  • Experience working with 1099 independent contractors.
