About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding of new sales managers and representatives through coaching, role-playing, and demonstrating consultative selling skills.
- Drive territory prospecting activity by conducting joint field work, leading weekly call clinics, and designing territory incentives.
- Support the development of unit managers by setting activity expectations and conducting weekly 1x1 coaching sessions.
- Deliver virtual and face-to-face classroom instruction using company-approved content to drive engagement and skill development.
- Manage training administration, including class setup, rosters, and participant completion tracking.
- Act as a liaison between field sales and the Home Office, supporting recruiting initiatives and new product rollouts.
Requirements
- Prior experience in training and development.
- Previous management or coaching experience with the ability to mentor others.
- Proven sales experience with the ability to coach the entire sales process.
- Ability to obtain an insurance license within the assigned territory within 45 days.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time for in-market training and field work.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to train on various technology platforms.
- Experience in adult education and development.
- Previous experience in the voluntary benefits industry or working with 1099 independent contractors.
