About the role
Responsibilities
- Cultivate new business and manage existing clientele through proactive networking and cold calling.
- Manage and develop customer relationships using a consultative sales approach to articulate value propositions.
- Represent professional services and technology partner products to executive-level contacts.
- Maintain industry relationships through organizations such as ISSA and ISACA.
- Work closely with vendor partners to understand and articulate their technology and pricing models.
- Accurately maintain sales forecasts and manage territory planning.
- Drive demand generation through customized marketing execution and market research.
- Identify and drive cross-sell initiatives across managed accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years of professional sales experience.
- At least one year of experience in technology or information systems technical solution sales.
- Thorough understanding of the Information Technology environment.
- Proven experience in the infrastructure and security space.
- Proficiency with CRM systems for managing meetings, contacts, and forecasts.
- Experience in proposal and technical writing.
- A documented history of exceeding sales goals of $2.5M or greater.
Preferred Qualifications
- Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience positioning statements of work, professional services, and security/network assessments.
- Vendor-related networking or security sales certifications (e.g., HPE/Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5).
