About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive special order sales to increase market share in Millwork and Specialty segments
- Provide product knowledge training and demonstrations to millwork and ProDesk associates
- Maintain existing stock business by ensuring product integrity and correct pricing
- Build rapport with store managers, assistant managers, and order expeditors
- Strategically plan weekly schedules and report sales activity using CRM tools
- Resolve customer complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding the competitive environment and sales opportunities
- Travel up to 25% with occasional overnights to manage territory
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Proven direct sales experience in the building products industry preferred
- Understanding of home improvement retail channels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel and manage a territory effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- General knowledge of major competitive building product brands
