About the role
Responsibilities
- Generate sales within an assigned territory by managing existing accounts and developing new customers
- Achieve sales quotas through proactive new business development and strengthening long-term customer relationships
- Promote sales and provide ongoing account service both onsite and via telephone
- Improve gross profit and overall profitability by effectively positioning company value propositions
- Support and implement marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches within the territory
- Negotiate product supply agreements with key customers to secure long-term partnerships
- Maintain an active list of target accounts by generating, qualifying, and following up on new business leads
- Monitor competitive activity and ensure complete, accurate account setup and pricing data
Requirements
- High-school diploma or GED required
- 5-7 years of outside sales experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in specialty gases
