Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth through prospecting, attending cattle auctions, and building a pipeline via outbound lead generation
  • Execute in-field sales by meeting customers on ranches, in pastures, or at industry events
  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts to increase product adoption
  • Meet and exceed high-growth sales targets through expert pipeline management
  • Provide end-to-end customer account management, ensuring smooth handoffs from sales to onboarding
  • Act as the primary point of contact for gathering field feedback to inform product development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and optimize the Canadian sales strategy
  • Represent Halter at industry events like CattleCon and local Livestock Association meetups

Requirements

  • Proven experience in ranching or cattle operations
  • Strong background in sales and customer success, including negotiating value-based deals
  • Experience in territory management, ideally within agriculture or technology
  • Ability to travel frequently within the designated territory
  • Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies
  • Experience in customer-facing roles within ag-tech
  • Background in B2B SaaS sales
