Terminal Systems Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert for terminal operational systems within a major airport Master Systems Integration (MSI) programme.
• Lead technical engineering and integration activities for systems including AODB, FIDS, RMS, AOCC, and PAVA platforms.
• Manage technical scope definition, systems specifications, performance requirements, and systems architecture coordination.
• Lead technical reviews of design submissions, systems engineering deliverables, and vendor documentation.
• Develop and review Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure coordinated integration between terminal systems, ICT infrastructure, and airline platforms.
• Define and review FAT, SAT, integrated systems testing, and commissioning acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with airport operators, airline stakeholders, ICT teams, and technology vendors to resolve technical interface issues.
• Ensure terminal systems align with passenger journey requirements, IATA standards, and airport operational procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to systems engineers, integration teams, and specialist consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Systems, Computer, Electronics, or Aviation Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in airport systems engineering, operational technologies, or aviation systems integration.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in major international airport programmes involving terminal systems integration.
• Demonstrated experience with airport terminal systems such as AODB, FIDS, RMS, and AOCC.
• Strong expertise in systems engineering, design review, interface management, and testing & commissioning.
• Excellent technical coordination and stakeholder communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCC airport programmes is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of passenger processing technologies and aviation operational environments.
• Strong understanding of systems integration methodologies and interface management processes.
• Ability to manage complex technical interfaces involving regulatory authorities and multidisciplinary contractors.
