Terminal Operator/Laborer

Responsibilities

• Operate a cement distribution terminal by loading and unloading cement from trucks and railcars.
• Maintain, repair, and replace terminal machinery and equipment, including valves, augers, and air compressors.
• Utilize computer software to process paperwork such as invoices, bills of lading, and weight tickets.
• Position and block vehicles or railcars using a track mobile to spot cars and set brakes.
• Manage material flow by operating conveyors, pneumatic conveyors, elevators, and adjusting dampers.
• Perform welding and use cutting torches for equipment maintenance and repair.
• Monitor pressure gauges, collect cement samples, and track inventory.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies and performing daily housekeeping.

Requirements

• 1-year college certificate or technical certificate.
• 3-6 years of related experience in product distribution and customer relations.
• Knowledge of cement and ready-mix operations.
• Track Mobile training and OSHA safety training.
• Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
