About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage the performance of direct reports, including bulk drivers, mechanics, and office staff
- Manage local safety programs, conduct monthly safety meetings, and lead accident investigations to reduce injuries
- Oversee driver recruitment and retention to ensure sufficient staffing levels and service excellence
- Supervise rolling stock maintenance and control expenses through preventative maintenance scheduling and vendor coordination
- Ensure regulatory compliance with DOT, OSHA, and FDA requirements, including driver files and vehicle maintenance records
- Monitor DOT Hours of Service compliance and drive continuous improvement across safety and efficiency KPIs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4–6 years of operations management experience supervising staff
- 3+ years of experience in Distribution or Logistics
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Proficiency in Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of operations management experience
- Previous experience in the industrial or specialty gas business
- Experience with Bulk Transportation and fleet maintenance
- Strong mathematical abilities and knowledge of DOT/FDA regulatory requirements
