Temporary Works Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Agree technical requirements of the client remit and lead the development of fee proposals
• Organise and lead the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team
• Ensure technical compliance of designs with legal requirements, CDM Regulations, and company policies
• Oversee production of design deliverables including calculations, drawings, reports, and design risk assessments
• Identify and implement technical opportunities for value engineering
• Act as the lead representative at project and progress meetings with clients
• Manage financial and commercial aspects of projects, including monitoring progress against budget and programme
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular reports to the Engineering Manager and client

Requirements

• Completed IEng Initial Professional Development or CEng equivalent progress with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE)
• Hold Level 6 or Level 7 qualifications
• Proven experience of designing temporary works
• Significant relevant industry experience
