Temporary Faculty – History

Requirements
Master’s degree or higher in History, College or university level teaching experience, Proficiency in D2L or Canvas, Strong instructional and assessment skills
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach General History courses using various modalities, with an emphasis on in-person instruction at the Clarion campus
- Utilize diverse instructional methods and assessment techniques to engage a diverse student population
- Provide academic advising to History majors and offer faculty leadership for the Clarion History Club
- Collaborate with colleagues to support program growth and contribute to the department
- Engage with the regional community to develop partnerships and opportunities
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in History or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching History at the college or university level
- Proficiency in using learning management systems such as D2L or Canvas
- Strong instructional, assessment, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in History or a related field
- Specialization or expertise in Non-US History
- Secondary Education experience or Teacher Certification
- Experience teaching in face-to-face, online, and multi-modal formats
- Experience in academic advising, student mentoring, and curriculum development
