TEM Sample Prep Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate Dual Beam FIB tools to prepare high-quality samples for TEM analysis
• Perform level-appropriate tool maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Follow SOPs and job instructions with high attention to detail
• Collaborate with the imaging team to improve sample quality and efficiency
• Assist in developing methods and procedures to optimize in-lab operations
• Manage physical failure analysis sample manipulation and delayering

Requirements

• Experience with SEM and FIB operation for TEM sample preparation
• Proficiency in chemical and dry etch delayering
• Ability to perform tool maintenance and calibration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate specialized software
• Ability to handle and transfer very small parts (smaller than 1/8in) using tweezers
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and work at a computer terminal

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of college or technical school education
• 1+ years of experience in the semiconductor field
