About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming customers and assisting with banking needs
- Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
- Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances
- Adhere to all bank policies, compliance, and risk management protocols to prevent fraud
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and deepen customer relationships
- Educate customers on digital tools and self-service banking options
- Assist with operational tasks such as custodianship and audits
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a welcoming environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ months of cash handling experience
- 6+ months of demonstrated customer service experience
- Proficiency with computers and basic math skills
- Ability to work branch hours, which may include evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to follow strict policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Bilingual skills with Spanish language preference
- Established work history through training, military service, or education
