About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform limited transactional duties including receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy
- Provide basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies
- Maintain accurate transactional records and balance daily cash drawers
- Refer members to Member Service Representatives for product information and financial services
- Monitor for counterfeit monetary instruments and protect against fraud
- Serve as a mentor and trainer for newly hired Teller I staff
- Explain ATM operations and online banking features to members
- Meet established referral goals and transactional targets
- Provide service through multiple channels including branches and Interactive Teller Machines (ITM)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Teller I: 6 months of cash handling, sales, customer service, or teller experience
- Teller II: 12 months of cash handling, sales, customer service, or teller experience
- Adherence to BSA, Privacy Act, and Elder Abuse reporting requirements
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle large amounts of cash and maintain high attention to detail
- Availability to work Saturday hours
