Teller I

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and handle paper and cash transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and cashing checks
• Accept loan payments and sale of negotiable instruments
• Assist customers with access to safe deposit boxes
• Process mail and night drop transactions
• Maintain files including signature cards, night deposit logs, and mail logs
• Balance teller drawer at the end of each shift

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math functions
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a high-paced environment
• Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance and work flexible hours including weekends
• Ability to complete Teller Career Path Guidelines within 90-day probation period

• Skill in communicating with clients and co-workers in a professional manner
• Skill in operating computer terminals, printers, and coin machines
