About the role
Responsibilities
- Pitch compelling stories using natural curiosity and creativity
- Craft stories of all lengths for various platforms and specific audiences
- Combine live pictures, graphics, video, and sound to create engaging experiences
- Booth continuous coverage on live streams for breaking news and community events
- Use data analytics to help shape the content of the newscast
- Ensure all communities and viewpoints have a voice and presence in the show
- Meet daily deadlines and handle live, breaking news situations calmly
Requirements
- 0-1 years of news content experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications, or a related field
- Solid journalistic judgment and understanding of professional journalism tenets
- Strong social media skills and an active news presence on preferred platforms
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under time pressure and manage changing events
- Experience with ENPS and Edius systems is preferred
