About the role
Responsibilities
- Profile, analyze, and optimize SoC performance, power, thermal, and KPI efficiency for connected vehicles and IoT.
- Correlate hardware counters with software behavior to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Analyze complex workloads, such as simultaneous 5G data streaming, navigation, and AI inferencing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global hardware, software, and product management teams to define architecture trade-offs.
- Develop automation workflows for data parsing and performance analysis using scripting.
- Utilize lab equipment and modem network simulators to validate system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SoC system performance analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation and data parsing.
- Strong knowledge of ARM architecture (e.g., ARMv8, ARMv9) and multicore configurations.
- Experience with wireless protocols including 5G, LTE, and WLAN.
- Familiarity with Embedded Linux (kernel internals, scheduling) and Android (AOSP, Binder).
- Hands-on experience with power profiling, including DVFS and sleep states.
- Proficiency with debugging and profiling tools such as Ftrace, Perf, or Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive use cases such as C-V2X, eCall, IMS, and GNSS subsystems.
- Understanding of memory hierarchy, DDR interfaces, and interconnect protocols (AXI/AHB, NoC).
- Experience with virtualization and hypervisors (e.g., QNX, GVM).
- Ability to create professional-quality technical reports and data visualizations.
