Telematics System Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, development, and optimization of next-generation telematics embedded systems
• Lead system integration within the vehicle
• Deliver requirements, system definition, implementation, testing, and debugging strategies
• Manage a team of in-house and supplier engineers to meet cost, quality, and time targets
• Create guidelines and procedures to prevent known technical issues
• Manage relationships with connected component teams to ensure smooth integration
• Oversee system upgradability, scalability, and localization for China, US, and Europe markets
• Monitor connectivity technology innovations to design future solutions

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 7 years of experience in the automotive industry
• At least 5 years of experience in connected car and telematics projects
• Experience with telematics hardware and software architectures
• Experience in vehicle EE architecture and embedded networks
• Experience in GNSS, Automotive Wifi, and Bluetooth developments
• Experience in eCall
• Strong specification and documentation skills
• Proven project and team management skills
• Ability to work in multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary teams across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Chinese, German, or French
• Experience with Automotive Linux
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience with antenna systems and Mobile Network Operators
• Experience in Automotive Ethernet, NB-IoT, or V2X
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or OTA software update services
